The Aboriginal Youth ICT Challenge

ICTAM’s Aboriginal Initiative presents the Aboriginal Youth ICT Challenge. Students from Children of the Earth High School, RB Russell Vocational School, and Grand Rapids School are set to begin the second year for this important initiative. They’ll be exposed to the exciting world of ICT through the development and design of a website through instruction by the University of Winnipeg over the course of 10 full-day workshops during the school year.
It’s no secret that the ICT industry is - and will continue to be - seeking work-ready employees in all ICT disciplines. The reality is that Aboriginal Youth will soon make up 1 in 4 workforce entrants. It is mutually beneficial to all to see that Aboriginal youth are aware of the opportunity for a sustainable and well-paying career in this exciting and fast-paced industry.
