SR&ED credits and other tax incentives can be a real asset to the growth of an ICT company. ICTAM is looking for your opinion, experience and advise to compile an informed report to government on the types of incentives the Manitoba ICT community would like to see implemented.

This event will feature a presentation on SR&ED Credits as well as examples of other incentives, both past and present that have been implemented in Manitoba and in other jurisdictions. The presentation will be followed by a facilitated roundtable discussion.

Meet Our Speaker - William (Bill) T. Pitre, MBA, FCGA
Bill is a professional accountant whose career for 18 years was centered in tax auditing within Canada Revenue Agency. He has managed both SR&ED Tax Incentives program, as well as the International Audit section for the Charlottetown Tax Services Office. Within his role as auditor, he had been exposed to SR&ED projects in many varied industries. He also gained valuable experience in the methods used by CRA technical and financial review staff. Bill has conducted many seminars on the SR&ED Tax Program.

In addition, Bill has been active in both Provincial and National CGA Associations. He is a team player that strives for positive client relationships.

Meet Our Facilitor - Al Holmes, Director, Sequus International

Al Holmes is a management trainer, designer, consultant, evaluator, writer, surveyer and meeting facilitator. He has more than 40 years of experience in the business either in his own consulting firm, in partnership with others or in association with the Manitoba Institute of Management. He has worked in every part of Canada, in every sector and has also worked in the US, Europe, Asia, Africa, the Caribbean, Central and South America and South East Asia.

Today he spends most of his time organizing, facilitating and reporting on strategic meetings of clients on a wide range of issues. Many of these meetings are with Boards of Directors and Senior Executives who are struggling with the long term direction or re-direction of their organizations. Others are with teams and intact work groups who need help with operational matters.
