ICT West is a collaborative project led by ICTAM and funded through Western Economic Diversification Canada. The project’s goal is to introduce small to medium-sized ICT companies to the global market in order to grow the sector here at home.
Women in Tech
The WIT group was formed to identify ways to proactively encourage women to join this historically male-dominated industry. Key topics include attracting women and girls to the ICT industries, citing general lack of women-centric programming, preconceived notions about the ICT field, school curriculum and stereotypes of the biggest barriers for women who might potentially pursue careers in ICT.

Aboriginal youth comprise an untapped resource of potential skilled ICT workers. Our Connect Indigenous Initiative works with schools, young people, and other stakeholders to encourage members of the Aboriginal community to explore the opportunities available in Manitoba’s ICT sector.
